Booking Instructions

Within the ‘Packages’ section, choose the desired package and complete the purchase process.

Browse Available Classes/Sessions, go to the ‘Classes’ or ‘Sessions’ tab, select all the classes you would like your child to attend.

Click ‘Book’ or ‘Reserve’.

If a token is required, it will automatically be deducted from your package.

Packages are strictly to be used for the dates of the Summer term, purchased package tokens will not be valid for the winter term.

1. Boxing for Fitness

This session combines the vigour of a fitness workout with the precision of real boxing techniques. It’s an ideal blend for those who want to get fit while learning the art of boxing.

2. Future Classes

In the future, we plan to run adult boxing sessions that will include sparring for those looking to improve their skills in a practical setting, while also offering a dedicated women-only class.

3. Special Events

We host special events such as outdoor bootcamps, sparring days for those who want more practical experience—separate from the main adult classes—and a socials over the holidays.

What to expect

Adult sessions last for one hour and are designed to offer a well-rounded experience. During this time, you’ll engage in a variety of activities aimed at improving your overall fitness and mastering the sport of boxing. These sessions typically include technical drills, pad work, and conditioning exercises, all tailored to help you develop your boxing skills to a high standard. Whether you’re a beginner or have some experience, the sessions are structured to ensure continuous progress, allowing you to challenge yourself, enhance your fitness level, and gain a deeper understanding of the sport.

1. Kick off

We start with a 15-minute fitness and warm-up period, incorporating core and physical traing, we also include activities like skipping and footwork exercises in this period. This initial phase helps to get you moving, increase your heart rate, and prepare your body for the more intensive boxing work ahead.

2. Session core

The core of the session, lasting about 35-40 minutes, is dedicated to boxing. You’ll focus on mastering the fundamentals of the sport, including footwork, punching techniques, defense, and movement. These skills are developed through a combination of technical drills, pad work, and conditioning exercises. Each session is tailored to push your abilities, offering both physical and mental challenges to ensure continuous growth.

3. Wrap it up

The session concludes with a focused 5-10 minute stretching routine to improve flexibility and aid muscle recovery. This cool-down phase ensures that your body transitions smoothly after the workout, helping prevent injury and enhancing your mobility.

You can book via Gymcatch through our portal above, or, if you prefer, you can pay £12 in cash at the door for a one-off session.

Is this session suitable for people who are unfit or inexperienced with boxing?

Absolutely! Our adult boxing classes are open to all fitness levels and experience. We cater to every individual's needs, and our coaches will support you in your development, helping you build confidence and skills at your own pace.

Is this session suitable for people who have lots of boxing experience?

Yes, our adult boxing classes are designed to challenge and support boxers of all experience levels. Whether you have extensive boxing experience or you're looking to refine specific skills, our coaches will tailor the sessions to push you further and help you continue developing.

What is the structure of a standard class?

A typical adult boxing class begins with a warm-up that includes skipping and a core session to engage the muscles we use in boxing. We also incorporate exercises to build strength. The main session focuses on technique drills, with a strong emphasis on pad work, which we believe sets our sessions apart. Our pad work is tailored to each participant’s skill level, helping you improve accuracy, timing, and combinations. We also include bag work and footwork exercises. The class finishes with conditioning and a stretch off to ensure a well-rounded workout that develops your skills, strength, and fitness progressively.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

No, you don’t need to bring your own equipment. We supply all the necessary boxing equipment, including gloves and pads, for each session. However, if you have your own gear and prefer to use it, you are welcome to bring it along.
